Stenvalls Trä AB is ISO certified according to ISO 9001:2008. For us, work with ISO certification has involved creating internal management and information systems, improve/ensure profitability through the discovery and minimising of costs due to inferior quality, and to increase customer satisfaction through the clarification and fulfilment of customer requirements.

FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council® and is an international system of regulations for how forests should be managed in a way that takes into account the environmental, economy and social aspects. It is a type of environmental and fair trade labeling for the forest.
Stenvalls Trä AB will not buy wood or wood fiber from the following categories:
Illegally harvested wood.
Wood harvested in violation of traditional and civil rights.
Wood harvested in forests where high conservation values are threatened by management activities.
Wood harvested in forests being converted to plantations or non- forest use.
Wood from forests in which genetically modified tress are planted.

The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is an international non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) through independent third-party certification. Stenvalls Trä AB is committed to implement and maintain the requirements in the PEFC COC standard. Stenvalls Trä AB will not buy wood from controversial sources with activities that do not comply with local, national, or international legislation, in particular relating to the following areas:
- forestry operations and harvesting, including conversion of forest to other uses;
- management of areas with high environmental and cultural values designed and covered by the legislation;
- protected and endangered species, including requirements of CITES;
- health and labour issues relating to forest workers;
- property, tenure and use rights of indigenous peoples;
- payment of taxes and royalties; and
- areas utilizing genetically modified organisms
Stenvalls Trä AB meets all the requirements as set out in the new standard for packaging timber in international trade. This means that Stenvalls Trä AB uses the marking KD 56°C/30 min according to the Swedish Board of Agriculture’s standard. Drying has then been performed according to a drying schedule that ensures that the core of the timber reaches at least 56°C for 30 minutes and that the finished timber has an average moisture content of 20%. ISO 9001:2008 certified. AAA Highest credit rating. Stenvalls Trä AB is also FSC® chain of custody certified.
